Who knew running was so difficult. Maybe running is not difficult for some people. As if they were runners as toddlers. Or have those folks really always just worked at it? Is it really effortless?
I have a good friend who went for a run on the Silver Comet Trail, and told me the next day, “I had run nine miles and I suddenly realized that I would have to run back… so I had to turn around. I hadn’t planned for an 18 mile run…it was tough.”
I’m thinking holy cow, yeah, that sounds pretty tough to me.
I wonder if there will be a day when I mistakenly forget that I needed to turn around after nine miles. Or if there will be a day when I manage 18 miles total.
