I’ve got tons of stories since I started this journey in August of 2010, and most of them are ridiculous at my expense… but for the folks new to this blog (and triathlon), here’s a listing of some of the “Greatest Hits” (or the most humiliating posts, depending on how you look at it).
I “lawyer” because I am forced to work and not waste my education. I write because I must get the words out of my brain. I parent because I have kids that need me (and they are funny kids, and I love them, blah blah). I “wife” because I said “I Do” and…I prefer to do men’s laundry on the weekends versus reading a good book or getting a pedicure. I love doing dishes, and cleaning up rogue poop, and balancing the debt, the budget, the….
I TRI because it’s the only way I’ve learned to cope with the rest of it all. Triathlon is the way I have learned to be thankful, to feel peace and to “tri” to show grace.
I truly had no idea how to live until I learned the magic of swim bike run. I know you feel the same way. And if you don’t… you will.
I know I’ve been a bit of a broken downer lately, but I am trying to remain positive. These past nineteen months have been wild…I thank you all for sharing this with me.
