Today, I ran a little.
Run drills under coach’s supervision. Plus one mile of run/walk, with the final three run intervals at a 6.5 on the mill. It was good. It made me happy. I don’t think I am scared (well, about this anyway) anymore. 🙂
Oh, and my hour of strength included: burpees (ack!!!! what in the holy heck!), kettlebell swings, twist and jump squats, back back back and more back, and core.
That’s my update.
Oh, and I am totally Rinny now. I mean… the similarities are frightening, don’t you think? #eyeroll
Happy Tuesday…
Don’t let the idiots get you down. That’s the new #JustKeepMovingForward. #DLTIGYD 🙂
Way to go. I liike these little training update posts.
Congratulations! Glad to see you back on the street! Er, Mill… Whatever! Just glad you’re running again!
Woo Hoo! Glad you are back at it!
#DLTIGYD ???? you should have run for President with that one. I would vote for you for that slogan alone. Great job on the run ! Wooo Hooo ! ?
Love it!! Much love during your training and come back!!!
Inspiring – thank you! I tore ankle ligaments and broke a metatarsal 5 weeks ago. I have a sprint trip in 11 days but am still struggling to run. ??????
Congrats, and returning after an injury deserves a big congrats. The psychological lift of running even a quarter mile after something that has laid you out for months is huge. For what it’s worth, continue to work on form. It’s easy to favor the site of an old injury because you don’t want to stress it out, and cause injuries to other parts of the kinetic chain.
And, enjoy it. Yours was a temporary injury. Move for the enjoyment of being able to move in ways others can’t!
Illegitimi non carborundum 😀
Also: Yay running!
Awesome Meredith!! So happy for you that your first run went so well xx
