The new city, the book launching in December, all the speaking I have to do coming up (does ANYONE really care what I have to say), plus let’s not even talk about wardrobe choices.
But I know that this too shall pass; that uncertainty is one of my biggest scary things. So I have to lean in, do what I can, and #justkeepmovingforward.
If you feel stuck, want to give up, or want to quit? Don’t lose Hope. We can’t. But also–we can’t rely on Hope alone. Hope is NOT an action plan.
When I am drowning in uncertainty, I look at what I can control. What Nonsense I can scrape away.
Here’s what helps me:
Take a look at your life. Look at your habits. Ask yourself what in the world is standing IN MY WAY of doing this thing / accomplishing this next move / changing my life / quitting this habit?
There is a good chance a little #Nonsense might be the culprit that we can change right now, in the middle of the uncertainty.
Big Nonsense, little Nonsense – but Nonsense nevertheless. [Nonsense is a silly word for some pretty heavy stuff.]
